Recent Finds

Looking for old papers and books to recycle into art. Here are a few things I found at the Friends Of The Library Bookshop.

A Children's Workbook from 1976 with fun exercises. There were two of them and I snagged
both for $.25 each.  Full page size including perf area is 12" x 18."

A 9" x 12" pamphlet on how to  make flavored vinegars. Free.

This is a saddle-stitched book called Auricula Meretricula. It's in Latin with a glossary of words with the English translation. Printed on a nice cream laid stock. Simple but elegant type design. It's a little big—7" x 11"—but it was so pretty I had to have it. And it was FREE!

And then I found this beautiful book of Mao Tsetung's poems printed in letterpress.  Love the magenta cloth binding!

But then I saw it was a First Edition printed translation from 1976. I don't think it's particularly valuable but it feels it's too special to cut up. Got it for $1.00.

TOTAL: $1.50 for these scores

That's all for now. Keep on hunting!
